Update #2 (Good News!): I heard from Tyler again earlier this evening. It turns out that things aren’t as bleak as they seemed earlier. It turns out that the doctors do not want to do surgery because Tyler has had too many surgery’s in recent years. Another surgery right now could do immediate [...]

Ahhhh, so that’s what snow boots are for…

On Saturday afternoon/evening it began to snow. And let me just say… GORGEOUS! Being from Florida and then Georgia I haven’t really seen much snow and I had never experienced snow like this. It was heavy and it was thick. We stayed up late just staring out the window and God’s glory falling down.

I (Daniel) [...]

Macy’s and Turkey!

Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the holiday season. In NYC it means that celebration and much needed rest is ahead. New Yorkers get pretty excited about the holidays.

We stayed in town for Thanksgiving this year and celebrated with some delicious food after we attended the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. So, what’s the Macy’s Parade like [...]

My Grandfather

On November 10th, 1 week after his 88th birthday, my (Daniel) grandfather passed away. It was a very hard time for me and my family as we loved him dearly. We haven’t been here in our apartment very long and we had to make a trip down to Florida. It was quite a blessed trip! [...]

Apple Picking!

Shortly after getting into our apartment our church (Grace) went apple picking. I (Daniel) stayed home with a cold while Jess went out and brought home quite a few apples (as you can see from the pictures below). We’ve had some fantastic apple pies since then as well as making some good ‘ole fashion apple [...]

Apartment Hunting…

It took us 1 week and 2 days to find an apartment and wow was it taxing. We were exhausted after about 2 days, much less adding a week to that. We searched from the morning until well after dark. We were so grateful on Friday afternoon when we received the call that the apartment [...]

National Geographic Says Cities Are Important

So, at the time this posts, we’ll be somewhere between the cities of Atlanta and New York City. So, I just thought this was appropriate…

A few weeks ago Jess was in the dentist office and I was waiting in the lobby. I picked up the National Geographic issue on the table which was [...]

“It’s Time To Go”

So, here’s what went down a few hours ago…

(quick backstory… we’ve positioned ourselves to move to NYC, all we need is to sell our car. As soon as that happens we’re on our way…)

We woke up this morning and attended LifeChurch.tv. Great message by Craig Groeschel. We then decided to go grab some [...]

I wore the wrong shoes…

I wore the wrong shoes. They were flats but had very little support and were rubbing the back of my heals raw. I decided that something must be done. We were going to be in the city for the remainder of the day and after just walking [...]

Our Story (Part 4): Now…

We’re kind of all over the place this summer; Georgia, Florida, Texas, New Mexico, New York. It’s a lot of fun, but, also really tiring. It’s a really exciting time!

Since our trip to NYC in December we’ve just been finishing up in Atlanta and gearing up for our move. [...]
