Our Story (Part 3): NYC

We boarded a Delta flight from Atlanta to Newark, NJ. It was a mixture of nerves and excitement all at the same time. This trip could potentially determine our future. It’s kind of a crazy feeling.
We arrived and took a train into the city, packed ourselves onto a crowded subway car with our luggage and made our way to the upper west side. We followed the directions and made it to Pastor Dave and Kathleen’s apartment and were greeted by them and their two amazing children.
Our arrival was perfect timing as we got to attend the church’s Christmas celebration. We had a great time meeting so many people that attend Grace and getting to hear some amazingly talented singers. What a blast! We followed that evening with a walk to church the next morning just a few blocks Pastor Dave and Kathleen’s apartment. We had a great time at church while God continued to confirm what we already suspected, that we would be headed this way to continue our ministry journey.
We spent the rest of the day exploring the city and then got up the next day to talk through our future with Pastor Dave and Kathleen. It didn’t take too long as we talked before we transitioned from ‘if’ NYC would be our new home to ‘when’.
We spent another day getting to know the staff of Grace and then they surprised and blessed us with tickets to the Rockette’s Christmas Spectacular. What an awesome way to finish up our trip to NYC (not to mention that the show ends with a live nativity honoring our Jesus!). Wow!
The next morning we hopped on a plane back to Atlanta with a new journey ahead of us.
(more about our transition timing and all in our next post…)
