My Grandfather

On November 10th, 1 week after his 88th birthday, my (Daniel) grandfather passed away. It was a very hard time for me and my family as we loved him dearly. We haven’t been here in our apartment very long and we had to make a trip down to Florida. It was quite a blessed trip! We had an incredible time with family and were able to grieve together at our loss. Here’s a picture of my grandfather…

On our way back to NYC we stopped in D.C. for a day and were able to honor my grandfather at the World War II memorial as my grandfather was a WWII vet. We made a folder/scrapbook filled with stories and pictures from my grandfathers life as well as letters that we had written and left it at the WWII memorial on the North Carolina monument (where my grandfather grew up). It was a beautiful moment and helped to bring some added closure to our loss.

This doesn’t have a whole lot to do with our move or lives in NYC, but, was a very important moment in my life, so, we thought it appropriate to share. Thanks so much for the thoughts and prayers during this time.

Below are a few pictures from our day in D.C.

Loved your D.C. pictures. Reminds me of growing up there.
